A history of Snow (Loki / Frigga)

"Mom! I don't want!
- Loki! For once I'm asking you to get up early! And besides, I have a surprise for you!

Loki, aged 6 years, lifted the blanket under which he hid. He hinted his little face marked by curiosity.

Really?!

If I tell you! Hurry, get out of your hiding place.

Little Loki made as fast as he could and prepared very quickly. His mother, the goddess Frigga, watched him with an amused look . After a few minutes the boy came out of his bathroom.

"I'm ready Mom!

- Oh, I see that! Well I think  we'll can get your surprise. "

Loki was beaming with happiness at her mother's side while they roamed the streets of Asgard. Soon they arrived at the foot of Bifrost, the legendary rainbow bridge.

"Mom? Where are we going?
- Well, it turns out that you have been very good lately and that you work well with your tutors and with me. So to reward you, I'll take you on holiday on Midgard!

- For real? "

The child could not believe his ears. Even Thor was never going to Midgard. Loki threw himself on his mother and squeezed as hard as his child's arm allowed him to do so.

"Thanks Mom! I love you! "

Taking his hand, Frigga guided his son on Bifrost up to the observatory sat Heimdall. The man nodded respectfully deal to the goddess.

"My queen.
- Hello Heimdall. We want to go to Midgard. You will watch over us here.
- Although my queen."

The man walked to the center of the room and activated the Bifrost with his sword. Loki stood for some moments, admiring the opening of Bifrost is spectacular. Frigga bent at the height of the child.

"We will enter the portal Loki. I want you to hold my hand! I don't want to loose you "

The child nodded and, with his mom, they crossed the Bifrost.
Their arrival on Earth was without incident but left Loki disoriented. It was cold and the landscape around him was a bright white where reflect the few rays of sunshine that pierced the clouds.

"Mom! What is it?
- It's snow, my angel. Here at Midgard, there are different seasons and right now, it's winter here.
- As of Jotunheim! "

The child looked horrified for a moment and glanced around him panicked, as if a FrostGiant was going out of any hiding place.

"Don't worry my love. Here the winters are not eternal and there is no Frostgiant here. You can go have fun.
- But Father says..."

Loki hesitated a moment and finally, trusting in his mother, he ran and threw in the snow under the watchful eye of Frigga. Thus Loki discovered the joys of snow.
